A Note About Confessions:

Hi everyone! This is a little note regarding confessions (it’s also a trend I’ve seen going around other confessions blogs since there’s been an increase in complaints about things such as duplicates/pointless confessions/etc.).

The inbox is empty and so I decided now would be a better time than any to address the following:

1. From here on out, confessions that seem too similar will not be immediately accepted. This is becoming a common practice across the confession blog board. However, those blogs expect people to go scrolling through endless pages looking to see if there’s a similar confession to reblog. I’m a little more generous than that by nature. Instead, I will be answering these confessions with the link(s) to similar confessions for your reblogging pleasure.

However, I will still post confessions that may be similar, but have a unique reasoning behind them.

Example - “Disney was better when it played movies every night at the same time” and “I miss watching a Disney movie every night” are practically the same sentiment. “The 8:00 movie on Disney Channel used to be the only bright spot of my day” is not the same because it explains why the person misses the movies.

The reason here is so that we don’t have a bunch of confessions that basically read the same, whether it be “I like this” or “I hate that” over and over again. The point is for you to have a chance to explain your reasoning behind it :) It doesn’t have to be tl;dr (too long; didn’t read), but even a little explanation such as “I really like Shake It Up because I’ve always wanted to be a dancer” makes all the difference and makes the confession personal :)

2. While negative opinions are still welcome (although hate of any kind is always discouraged) and ambiguous/not really confessional confessions are still welcome as long as they are new/unique, trollish and/or pointless confessions are not. Believe it or not, some people submit things along the lines of “Miranda had an eating disorder” or “Kim Possible had pointy boobs” and so on. Those aren’t confessions. If you want to say something like, “It inspired me that Miranda was shown to have an eating disorder” or “I never understood why they animated Kim with pointy boobs” then please make sure you make that clear or else it won’t be accepted. I dislike playing the meany that deletes them, but, honestly, there’s no more point to those types of confessions than there would be to say something like “Gordo is Jewish” or “Tawni thinks she’s all that.” It’s just common knowledge and not something you’re keeping secret.

I hope that these guidelines don’t upset anyone (the non-duplicate was already technically in place before I took over the blog, but I let a lot of duplicates through for various reasons). Again, I don’t want to seem as though I’m turning away your wonderful, various opinions on the Disney Channel, but this is about making the blog a great place for everyone to enjoy and not become annoyed with!

If you have reasons why you don’t like these guidelines or just general feedback about this or anything about the blog, please feel free to let me know at anytime. This blog is about you and I’d love to hear what you think. After all, there’s always room for improvement!
